METHOD
Step 1.
Sanitise all your tools: pot, stirring spoon, measuring cups, and your glass jar.Step 2.
Boil the 3 litres of water using the pot.Step 3.
After boiling, add 1 cup of sugar and stir until it is fully dissolved.Step 4.
Drop in the tea bags into the pot and leave the tea to steep until the water has completely cooled.Step 5.
Once cooled, remove tea bags and pour the tea into your sanitised jar.Step 6.
Add the SCOBY and the starter kombucha to the pot.Step 7.
Cover the jar with a tightly weaved cloth, secure with a rubber band and leave it in a warm, dark place for 7-10 days.Step 8.
You can start tasting the kombucha on the 7th day. If it’s to your liking, strain it and move it to the fridge until it’s chilled and ready to serve.

3 lWater
1 cupOrganic cane sugar
8 Black tea bags
1 SCOBY (Symbiotic Culture Of Bacteria and Yeast)
480 mlRaw kombucha, as a starter
