Apple & Cranberry Pie Recipe
A delectable, sweet pie combining apple and cranberry, topped with a beautiful lattice crust.

METHOD
Step 1.
Preheat your oven to 200°C (180° for fan ovens).Step 2.
Peel, core and slice the apples. In a large pan, combine the sliced apple, cranberries, sugar, and cinnamon. Cook over medium heat until the fruit starts to soften, around 10 minutes.Step 3.
Meanwhile, roll out half the dough on a lightly floured surface. Fit one disk into a pie dish, leaving overhang. Trim to a 1-inch overhang.Step 4.
Fill the pie dish with the apple-cranberry mixture.Step 5.
Roll out the remainder of the dough and cut into strips. Weave these strips over the pie to create a lattice effect. Crimp edges as desired. Brush top with beaten egg.Step 6.
Bake until golden brown, around 60 minutes. Let the pie cool completely, sprinkle with icing sugar before serving.

500 gPie dough
1 Egg
1 tbspIcing sugar, for sprinkling
