METHOD
Step 1.
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).Step 2.
In a large bowl, combine the sliced apples, sugar, flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, and lemon juice. Mix until the apples are evenly coated.Step 3.
Roll out one of the pie crusts and fit it into a 9-inch pie plate. Pour the apple mixture into the crust and dot with butter.Step 4.
Roll out the second pie crust and place it over the apples. Trim any excess crust and crimp the edges to seal the pie.Step 5.
Cut a few slits in the top crust to allow steam to escape.Step 6.
Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the filling is bubbling.Step 7.
Remove from the oven and let the pie cool for at least 1 hour before serving.Step 8.
