Apple Pie Recipe

METHOD

  • Step 1.

    Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Step 2.

    In a large bowl, combine the sliced apples, sugar, flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, and lemon juice. Mix until the apples are evenly coated.
  • Step 3.

    Roll out one of the pie crusts and fit it into a 9-inch pie plate. Pour the apple mixture into the crust and dot with butter.
  • Step 4.

    Roll out the second pie crust and place it over the apples. Trim any excess crust and crimp the edges to seal the pie.
  • Step 5.

    Cut a few slits in the top crust to allow steam to escape.
  • Step 6.

    Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the filling is bubbling.
  • Step 7.

    Remove from the oven and let the pie cool for at least 1 hour before serving.
