METHOD
Step 1.
Peel and core the apples, then chop into small pieces.Step 2.
Place the apples in a large pot. Add water and lemon juice, stirring to combine.Step 3.
Over medium heat, bring the apple mixture to a simmer. Lower the heat and let it cook for 45 minutes, until the apples are soft and breaking down.Step 4.
Add sugar to the pot, stirring to dissolve. Increase heat and bring the mixture to a boil.Step 5.
Boil for around 10-15 minutes, until the jam reaches its setting point.Step 6.
Remove the pot from heat and let the jam cool for a few minutes. Then, spoon it into sterilised jars, seal and store in a cool, dark place.
