Crumble Cake with Sticky Plums Recipe

A delightful and easy to make crumble cake topped with slow cooked, sticky plums. Perfect for any afternoon tea or dessert!

METHOD

  • Step 1.

    In a bowl, mix the flour, sugar, and butter until it resembles breadcrumbs.
  • Step 2.

    Chop the plums and remove the pits, then put them in a pan with sugar and water. Simmer until they are soft and sticky.
  • Step 3.

    Preheat your oven to 180 degrees C.
  • Step 4.

    Press half of the crumble mixture into a baking tin to form the base of your cake.
  • Step 5.

    Spread the sticky plum mixture over the base.
  • Step 6.

    Sprinkle the rest of the crumble mixture on top of the plums, and then bake in the oven for around 45-50 minutes.
  • Step 7.

    Take out the cake from oven and let it cool before cutting into pieces. Enjoy!
