Homemade Ginger Beer Recipe

METHOD
Step 1.
In a large jar, combine ginger, sugar, 1.25L water. Stir until sugar is dissolved, cover and leave for 24 hours.Step 2.
After 24 hours, strain the mixture to remove the ginger. Discard the ginger.Step 3.
To the strained liquid, add lemon juice, cream of tartar and additional water. Stir well to combine.Step 4.
Add yeast and stir until dissolved. Cover the jar and leave it in a warm place for about 2 days.Step 5.
After 2 days, strain the mixture again to remove any remaining solids. Discard the solids.Step 6.
Pour the liquid into a bottle and tightly seal the lid. Store the bottle in the refrigerator to stop the fermentation process. Leave for another 24 hours.Step 7.
After 24 hours, the ginger beer is ready to be served. Pour over ice in glasses and enjoy.
