Non-Alcoholic Apple Cider Recipe

A classic Autumn staple - homemade spiced apple cider. It's warm and comforting, and tastes divine.





  • Step 1.

    In a large saucepan, bring the apples, oranges, spices and water to a boil.
  • Step 2.

    Reduce heat to low and let simmer for about 2 hours.
  • Step 3.

    After the apples have softened, use a potato masher to mash the fruit and release the remaining juice.
  • Step 4.

    Let the mixture simmer for an additional half hour.
  • Step 5.

    Strain the mixture into a pitcher or other container through a fine mesh sieve or cheesecloth, pressing the solids to get out as much liquid as possible.
  • Step 6.

    Stir in the sugar or honey until well dissolved.
  • Step 7.

    Serve warm or refrigerate and serve chilled.
