METHOD

  • Step 1.

    Heat 1 tbsp of oil in a large saucepan over medium heat. Add minced beef and cook until browned.
  • Step 2.

    Add chopped onions, carrots, and celery and cook until vegetables are soft.
  • Step 3.

    Stir in crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, and seasonings. Bring to a simmer.
  • Step 4.

    Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for about an hour.
  • Step 5.

    Cook spaghetti according to package instructions. Drain and serve topped with the sauce. Finish with a sprinkling of parmesan and a basil leaf to garnish.
