Gather all your ingredients.Step 2.
In a medium saucepan, combine rhubarb, water, and sugar. Bring to a boil over medium heat, then simmer for about 5 minutes until the rhubarb is soft and the sugar has dissolved.Step 3.
Remove from heat and let the mixture cool slightly. Then, strain the mixture through a fine mesh sieve into a large jug, pressing on the solids to extract as much liquid as possible.Step 4.
