Classic Tiramisù Recipe

Traditional Italian dessert with layered coffee-soaked ladyfingers, mascarpone cream, and a touch of cocoa.





  • Step 1.

    In a medium bowl, combine egg yolks and sugar. Beat until well combined and creamy.
  • Step 2.

    Fold mascarpone cheese into egg yolk mixture until combined. Set aside.
  • Step 3.

    In another bowl, beat egg whites until stiff peaks form. Fold into cheese and yolk mixture.
  • Step 4.

    Dip half of the ladyfingers into the coffee, and lay in an even layer at the bottom of a serving dish.
  • Step 5.

    Spread half of mascarpone mixture over the ladyfingers. Repeat with remaining ladyfingers, coffee, and mascarpone mixture.
  • Step 6.

    Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight.
  • Step 7.

    Before serving, dust with cocoa powder and shavings of dark chocolate.

  2. 100 gGranulated sugar

  3. 250 gMascarpone cheese

  4. 3 Egg whites

  5. 200 gLadyfingers

  6. 250 mlStrong coffee, cooled

  7. 2 tbspCocoa powder, for dusting

  8. 1 tbspDark chocolate, shaved
