METHOD
Step 1.
Preheat your oven to 190C/375F/Gas 5.Step 2.
Peel, core and chop the apples into small chunks. Place in ovenproof dish, sprinkle with cinnamon and nutmeg, and mix well.Step 3.
For the crumble, mix the butter and flour together in a bowl until it resembles breadcrumbs. Stir in the sugar.Step 4.
Cover the apples with the crumble mixture, and bake for 45-50 minutes, until the crumble is golden and the apples are soft.Step 5.
Serve your lovely apple crumble while it's still warm, preferably with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or custard.
