Apple Crumble Recipe

METHOD

  • Step 1.

    Preheat your oven to 190C/375F/Gas 5.
  • Step 2.

    Peel, core and chop the apples into small chunks. Place in ovenproof dish, sprinkle with cinnamon and nutmeg, and mix well.
  • Step 3.

    For the crumble, mix the butter and flour together in a bowl until it resembles breadcrumbs. Stir in the sugar.
  • Step 4.

    Cover the apples with the crumble mixture, and bake for 45-50 minutes, until the crumble is golden and the apples are soft.
  • Step 5.

    Serve your lovely apple crumble while it's still warm, preferably with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or custard.
