Super Spicy Chilli Paste Recipe

A fiery blend of spices, chilli peppers, and garlic that packs a punch and can be used in numerous dishes to add an extra layer of intense heat.

METHOD

  • Step 1.

    Clean the chilli peppers, then cut into small pieces. Remove seeds to adjust to heat preference.
  • Step 2.

    Peel the garlic cloves.
  • Step 3.

    In a dry skillet over medium heat, toast the chilli peppers till aromatic but not burnt.
  • Step 4.

    Move the toasted chilli peppers to a blender.
  • Step 5.

    Add the garlic, cumin seeds, white vinegar and oil to the blender as well. Blend into a paste, adding water to get to your preferred consistency.
  • Step 6.

    Store in a sterilised, airtight jar. Can be kept in the refrigerator for up to a month.

  2. 8 Garlic cloves

  3. 1 tspCumin seeds

  4. 2 tbspWhite vinegar

  5. 2 tbspOlive oil

  6. 50 mlWater
