Vegan Croissant Recipe
Enjoy a classic French pastry in a vegan version filled with rich plant-based margarine.

METHOD
Step 1.
In a mixing bowl, combine flour and salt.Step 2.
Next, slowly add in the yeast dissolved in warm water.Step 3.
Once combined, add in the sugar and vegan margarine. Knead the mixture until it forms a smooth dough.Step 4.
Cover the dough and let it rise at room temperature for an hour or until it's doubled in size.Step 5.
On a floured surface, roll out the dough into a thickness of about 1 cm. Cut it into triangles.Step 6.
With the widest end of the triangle facing you, gently roll the dough towards the pointed end.Step 7.
Place the rolled dough on a baking sheet, and let it rise for another hour.Step 8.
Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius. Before baking, brush the croissants with soy milk for a glaze.Step 9.
Bake the croissants in the preheated oven for 15 minutes or until they are golden brown.Step 10.
Allow them to cool before serving.
