Apple Crumble Traybake Recipe

METHOD
Step 1.
Preheat the oven to 180°C/160°C fan/gas mark 4.Step 2.
Peel, core, and chop the apples. Place in a saucepan with lemon juice and 2tsp of sugar. Cook over low heat until softened.Step 3.
While the apples are cooking, mix together the flour, oats, 100g sugar and butter in a bowl until it resembles breadcrumbs.Step 4.
Pour the apple mixture into a rectangular baking tray. Sprinkle the crumble topping evenly across the top.Step 5.
Bake for 45 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the filling is bubbling. Let it cool slightly on a wire rack before slicing.Step 6.
Serve warm with custard or ice cream.

200 gPlain flour
100 gRolled oats
125 gUnsalted butter
2 tspSugar, for stewing apples
