Gingerbread Biscuits Recipe

METHOD
Step 1.
Preheat your oven to 180°C (160°C fan) mark 4.Step 2.
Put the butter, brown sugar and golden syrup into a pan and heat gently until melted, stirring occasionally.Step 3.
In a bowl, combine the flour, bicarbonate of soda and spices. Pour in the melted butter mixture and knead it into a smooth dough.Step 4.
Roll out the dough to an even thickness. Cut into desired shapes using a cookie cutter.Step 5.
Arrange spaced apart on baking sheets lined with baking parchment. Bake for 12-15 minutes until lightly golden.Step 6.
Remove from oven and let them cool completely before decorating.Step 7.
Prepare the icing by adding water to the icing sugar until desired consistency is achieved.Step 8.
Fill piping bag with the prepared icing. Cut very small hole in the tip of the bag. Decorate the biscuits as desired.Step 9.
Let the icing set and then serve.
