Breakfast Banana Waffle Recipe

METHOD
Step 1.
Preheat your waffle iron according to the manufacturer's instructions.Step 2.
In a large bowl, mix together 250g of plain flour, 1 tbsp of baking powder, 2 tbsp of sugar, and a pinch of salt.Step 3.
In another bowl, whisk together 300ml of milk, 100ml of melted unsalted butter, and 2 eggs.Step 4.
Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until combined.Step 5.
Lightly grease the waffle iron with butter or cooking spray. Pour enough batter into the iron to just cover the waffle grid.Step 6.
Cook according to the waffle maker's instructions until golden and crisp.Step 7.
For the topping, slice 1 banana and toast 60g of pecans in a dry pan until fragrant.Step 8.
Serve the waffles hot with banana slices, toasted pecans, chocolate sauce drizzled over, and a dusting of icing sugar if desired.
