METHOD
Step 1.
Combine the milk, sugar, butter, salt, yeast, and eggs in a large bowl. Gradually mix in the flour.Step 2.
Knead the dough on a floured surface until it is smooth and elastic, about 8 minutes.Step 3.
Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a towel, and let it rise in a warm place for 2 hours.Step 4.
Roll out the dough into a 30x20 cm rectangle. Cover two-thirds of it with slices of butter.Step 5.
Fold the uncovered third over the buttered center, then fold the left third over the top. Rotate the dough 90 degrees.Step 6.
Roll out and fold the dough again, repeating this process 3 times. Cover the dough and chill for 30 minutes between each fold.Step 7.
Cut the dough into triangles, roll them up starting from the wide end, and shape them into crescents.Step 8.
Place the croissants on a baking tray and let them rise for 1 hour. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius.Step 9.
Bake for 15 minutes or until the croissants are golden brown. Let them cool on wire racks.Step 10.
Serve with jam & butter.
