Fig & Emmental Cheese Crostini Recipe
A delightful combination of sweet figs and nutty Emmental cheese atop crispy crostini, perfect for an elegant starter or a sophisticated snack.

METHOD
Step 1.
Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).Step 2.
Slice the baguette into 1cm thick pieces and arrange them on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.Step 3.
Drizzle olive oil over the baguette slices and toast in the oven for 10-15 minutes, or until golden and crispy.Step 4.
While the bread is toasting, slice the figs into thin wedges.Step 5.
Once the bread is toasted, remove from the oven and allow to cool slightly.Step 6.
Top each slice of toasted baguette with a slice of Emmental cheese.Step 7.
Place a piece of fig on top of the cheese.Step 8.
Return the tray to the oven for an additional 5 minutes, or until the cheese has melted.Step 9.
Garnish with a drizzle of honey and a sprinkling of freshly chopped thyme.Step 10.
Serve immediately and enjoy!
