Shortbread Biscuit Stars Recipe
Homemade, buttery and melt-in-your-mouth traditional Scottish Shortbread Stars created from a simple, time-honoured recipe.

METHOD
Step 1.
Preheat oven to 150°C. Line 2 baking trays with greaseproof paper.Step 2.
In a mixing bowl whisk together flour, sugar until well combined.Step 3.
Add butter into the flour-sugar mixture and mix until a dough forms.Step 4.
Lightly flour a clean surface and roll out the dough to a thickness of about 1cm. Cut out star shapes using a star cookie cutter.Step 5.
Place biscuits onto the prepared baking tray and prick them with a fork.Step 6.
Bake in the oven for about 40-45 minutes, or until biscuits are goldenStep 7.
After removing from the oven, sprinkle with sugar while still warm. Cool completely on a wire rack.

50 gCaster sugar
20 gCaster sugar, for sprinkling
