Heart Shaped Cheesy Pancake Stacks Recipe

Lovely fluffy pancakes stacked in the shape of a heart, topped with deliciously melted cheese. Perfect for a special brunch!

METHOD

  • Step 1.

    In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. In another bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk and melted butter. Pour the wet mixture into the dry mixture and stir until just combined.
  • Step 2.

    Heat a non-stick frying pan over a medium heat. Ladle the batter onto a heart shaped metal mould in the pan, using about 1/4 cup for each pancake.
  • Step 3.

    Cook each pancake until bubbles form on top, then remove the mould, flip and cook until golden brown.
  • Step 4.

    Set the cooked pancakes aside until you've used all the batter up.
  • Step 5.

    Sprinkle the grated cheese on top of each pancake layer as you stack them.
  • Step 6.

    Put the pancake stack under the grill for 1-2 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly. Be careful not to burn the pancakes.
  • Step 7.

    Serve immediately with your favourite pancake toppings.

  5. 2 Eggs

  6. 300 mlMilk

  7. 50 gUnsalted butter, melted

  8. 100 gGrated cheddar cheese
