Homemade Mayonnaise Recipe

This easy and quick homemade mayonnaise is creamy, rich and ready in just a few minutes. It's best served with sandwiches, salads and can be used as a base for many other sauces.

METHOD

  • Step 1.

    Combine the egg yolks, mustard, and salt in a blending bowl.
  • Step 2.

    Really slowly add about half of the oil in thin stream to the bowl, constantly whisking until mixture begins to thicken.
  • Step 3.

    Continue to whisk while adding vinegar, then slowly add remaining oil. Whisk until mayonnaise is thick.
  • Step 4.

    Can be stored, covered, in refrigerator for up to 2 days.

  1. 2 Egg yolks

  2. 1 tbspDijon mustard

  3. 0.5 tspSalt

  4. 250 mlVegetable oil

  5. 1 tbspWhite vinegar
