Pie Topped with Apple Slices Recipe

METHOD
Step 1.
Preheat oven to 175 degrees celsius. Peel, core, and slice 5 apples.Step 2.
In a large bowl, combine sugar, flour and cinnamon. Stir in the apples to coat with the syrupy mixture.Step 3.
Lay one pastry sheet in a pie dish. Pour the apple mixture in. Layer the top with the remaining pastry sheet, cutting slits in the top for steam to escape.Step 4.
Chop the remaining apple into thin slices; arrange on top of the pie. Sprinkle with additional sugar.Step 5.
Bake for 60 minutes or until crust is golden brown and filling is bubbling.Step 6.
