Pie Topped with Apple Slices Recipe

METHOD

  • Step 1.

    Preheat oven to 175 degrees celsius. Peel, core, and slice 5 apples.
  • Step 2.

    In a large bowl, combine sugar, flour and cinnamon. Stir in the apples to coat with the syrupy mixture.
  • Step 3.

    Lay one pastry sheet in a pie dish. Pour the apple mixture in. Layer the top with the remaining pastry sheet, cutting slits in the top for steam to escape.
  • Step 4.

    Chop the remaining apple into thin slices; arrange on top of the pie. Sprinkle with additional sugar.
  • Step 5.

    Bake for 60 minutes or until crust is golden brown and filling is bubbling.
  • Step 6.
