Spiced Pear Pie Recipe

A delightful combination of spiced succulent pear filling resting atop a flaky pie crust. The taste of fall in every bite.





  • Step 1.

    Preheat oven to 180 degrees C.
  • Step 2.

    On a lightly floured surface, roll out half the pastry to fit a 23cm pie plate. Place bottom crust in pie plate.
  • Step 3.

    In a large bowl, combine pears, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg and lemon juice.
  • Step 4.

    Spoon mixture into pastry-lined pie plate and dot with butter. Roll out remaining pastry to fit top of pie, cut any excess.
  • Step 5.

    Bake in preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, or until pears are soft and pastry is golden brown.

  2. 100 gCaster sugar

  3. 6 Pears, peeled and diced

  4. 1 tspGround cinnamon

  5. 0.5 tspGrated nutmeg

  6. 2 tbspLemon juice

  7. 30 gUnsalted butter
