Roasted Duck with Grilled Plum Recipe

Experience fine dining at home with this flavoursome roasted duck paired with subtly sweet grilled plums.





  • Step 1.

    Preheat the oven to 180°C. Season the duck with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Step 2.

    Place the duck on a rack in a roasting pan, and then into the preheated oven.
  • Step 3.

    Roast for about 2 hours, or until the skin is crispy and golden brown. Baste with its own juices every 20 minutes.
  • Step 4.

    Slice plums in half and remove the stones.
  • Step 5.

    Preheat the grill on high. Grill plums with the cut-side facing up. Cook until slightly charred and caramelised around 10 to 15 minutes.
  • Step 6.

    Rest the duck for 15 minutes before carving. Serve with the grilled plums.
