Simple Lasagne Recipe

METHOD
Step 1.
Preheat your oven to 180°C.Step 2.
In a large pan over medium heat, cook the minced beef until browned. Drain excess fat.Step 3.
Add the cans of tomatoes and tomato purée to the minced beef. Season with salt, pepper, and mixed herbs. Simmer for 20 minutes.Step 4.
In another saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the flour and cook for 2 minutes. Gradually whisk in the milk until smooth. Bring to a boil, then simmer until thickened. Season with nutmeg, salt, and pepper.Step 5.
Spoon a layer of meat sauce into the bottom of a baking dish, then cover with lasagne sheets. Spread a layer of béchamel sauce over the pasta, then repeat the layers, finishing with béchamel on top.Step 6.
Sprinkle grated mozzarella and Parmesan cheese over the final layer of béchamel.Step 7.
Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes, or until the top is golden and bubbling.Step 8.
Let it rest for 10 minutes before serving.
