METHOD
Step 1.
Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F, Gas Mark 4).Step 2.
In a mixing bowl, cream together 125g of softened butter and 100g of caster sugar until light and fluffy.Step 3.
Beat in 1 egg to the butter mixture until well combined.Step 4.
Gradually sift in 250g of plain flour, mixing until a dough forms.Step 5.
Fold in 100g of sultanas, ensuring they're evenly distributed throughout the dough.Step 6.
On a floured surface, roll out the dough to about 5mm thickness. Cut into desired shapes using biscuit cutters.Step 7.
Place the biscuits on a lined baking sheet, ensuring there's space between each.Step 8.
Sprinkle a little white sugar over the top of each biscuit for extra sweetness.Step 9.
Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes or until lightly golden.Step 10.
Allow to cool on a wire rack before serving.
