METHOD
Step 1.
Combine cocoa powder and maple syrup in a pan over low-medium heat, stir until fully combined to create a chocolate syrup.Step 2.
In a blender, add canned coconut milk and the chocolate syrup. Blend together until the mixture is smooth.Step 3.
Add dark chocolate pieces to the mixture then blend again.Step 4.
Pour the mixture into a covered dish and freeze for at least two hours or until firm.Step 5.
Before serving let the gelato sit at room temperature for a few minutes then scoop and serve.
